Getting started with FedGrade

FedGrade is a federal contracting capture-intelligence workbench. You sign in, tell it what you bid on, and each day it produces a synthesized Brief that cites verbatim excerpts of public sources. This page walks you from your invitation to your first Brief.

1. Get access and sign in

FedGrade is invite-only today — there is no open sign-up. If a colleague's workspace invited you, follow the link in the invitation email. Otherwise, use Request access on /pricing.

Sign in at /login with your email and password. Single sign-on is not offered. PIV-CAC sign-in is on the roadmap and is not available today.

2. Onboarding wizard

The wizard has five short steps. Every field is optional — fill in what you know, and anything you skip is shown as a gap rather than guessed.

• Matching keys — "What do you bid on?" NAICS or PSC codes, the set-asides you qualify for, the agencies you sell to, and your SAM identity (UEI / CAGE).
• Signals. How you work (capture, business development, compliance, consulting or other) and which signals matter to you.
• Vehicles & value. The contract vehicles you hold and your sweet-spot contract value.
• First persona. The persona shapes which variant of the daily Brief you receive. You can change it later at /settings/personas.
• First watch. A watch alerts you when a new FedGrade Forecast prediction matches your agencies or keywords.

3. Your first Brief

Briefs are generated once a day, by a job that starts at 11:18 UTC, for every workspace — so your first Brief appears on /today after the next daily run, not immediately after the wizard. On Free the Brief is in the app only and shows the top 3 items; Pro and above see up to 10 items and also get it by email.

Each Brief carries:

• synthesized items with citations you can expand
• a validation badge showing whether its citations were verified
• a Report inaccuracy button that sends a claim to our review queue

Each claim is validated against a verbatim excerpt of a source such as a SAM.gov notice, an EDGAR filing, a GAO decision, an OMB memo, a FedScoop story or a Federal Register entry. A claim that fails the check is shown as failed on the Brief, not hidden.
