Getting started with FedGrade

FedGrade is a federal-civilian capture-intelligence workbench. You sign in, pick a persona, and the system produces a synthesized daily Brief that cites verbatim substrings of public sources. This page walks you from a cold signup to your first Brief in under ten minutes.

1. Sign up

Hit /signup. You can authenticate with email + password or Google. (PIV-CAC sign-in is part of the Government-tier onboarding roadmap — that tier is sales-led, and smart-card authentication is set up jointly with your agency during onboarding.) Each new account creates a personal workspace; if your team already has a workspace you will be invited rather than creating a new one.

2. Onboarding wizard

The wizard asks four questions:

• Persona. Pick one of capture, BD/sales, agency CIO, or investor. You can add more personas later from /settings/personas. The persona controls which variant of the daily Brief you receive.
• Watched agencies. Pick up to five. Free tier lets you watch the top three; Pro and above remove the cap.
• Watched keywords. Optional. The Forecast layer uses these to bias pre-RFP signals.
• Notification cadence. Daily, twice-weekly, or off.

3. First Brief

Within five minutes of completing the wizard the first Brief lands in your inbox at /today. It carries:

• A synthesized paragraph per topic with footnoted citations
• A confidence chip per claim (validated, partial, insufficient)
• A "Report inaccuracy" button on every paragraph that routes the claim into the moderation queue

The Brief is not a feed of headlines. Every claim is grounded in a verbatim substring of a SAM notice, EDGAR filing, GAO decision, OMB memo, FedScoop story, or Federal Register entry — and the citation expands inline so you can verify before forwarding.

4. Next steps

• Open /radar/forecast to see pre-RFP predictions for your watched agencies
• Open /network to see how the entity graph connects agencies, vendors, and contracts

If anything looks wrong, hit the floating "?" in the bottom-right to open a ticket. Tickets route to the review queue with a five-minute SLA on the data-concern category.
