Upgrading your workspace

There are two paths: self-serve (Pro and Team) and sales-led (Enterprise and Government). Both start at /pricing.

Self-serve — Pro and Team

  1. Open /pricing and click the Pro or Team CTA.
  2. Stripe Checkout opens with the selected plan, billing cadence (monthly or annual), and seat count pre-filled.
  3. Enter payment details. The first invoice is prorated to the end of the current billing period.
  4. On successful charge you are redirected back to /today with the new tier active. The tier change is immediate — no provisioning lag.

Self-serve seats are added or removed from /settings/billing. Adding a seat prorates the addition; removing a seat credits the remainder to your next invoice. Downgrading from Pro to Free is allowed; downgrading from Team to Pro requires support assistance to handle the multi-user transition.

Sales-led — Enterprise and Government

Enterprise and Government tiers are contract-only. Click "Contact sales" on /pricing to open a short form: company name, expected seat count, target tier, and procurement timeline. A sales engineer responds within one business day with a custom MSA, our current security package (SOC 2 Type II is in progress; a NIST 800-53 Moderate self-attested SSP is available now), and (for Government) the FedRAMP posture letter.

Government tier additionally requires:

  • A .gov or .mil email domain on the primary contact
  • Agency name and PIV-CAC issuer details, so we can scope smart-card SSO during onboarding (PIV-CAC support is on the Government-tier delivery roadmap, completed jointly with your agency)
  • AWS GovCloud regional preference (US-Gov-East-1 or US-Gov-West-1) — GovCloud residency is a deployment option scoped per agency during onboarding

Discount stack

  • Annual billing: 17% off. Pre-paid 12-month commitment, billed up front.
  • Multi-year: 25% off. 24-month or 36-month commitment, billed annually with price-lock.
  • Volume tiers apply to Team at 25+ seats and Enterprise at 100+ seats. Sales engineering quotes the specific delta.

Annual and multi-year discounts stack with volume but not with each other; the larger of the two applies. Promotional discounts (partner referrals, launch credits) stack with neither and expire at the next renewal.

What carries over on upgrade

Everything — personas, watches, saved searches, cases, the network graph view-state, integration tokens. The tier change is metadata on the workspace, not a migration.

What changes immediately

  • Archive horizon extends (30-day → unlimited)
  • Hidden Brief paragraphs render
  • Export formats unlock (DOCX, JSON, workspace archive)
  • Forecast alerts begin firing
  • API keys, webhooks, and audit log become available on Enterprise+

You will see the change reflected on /today and /settings/billing within thirty seconds of the Stripe webhook landing.
